If you’ve ever wished you could lock up the loudmouth NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’re in luck. The Corrupt Law – Frame and Jail NPCs mod gives you the power to do exactly that and even puts money in your pocket for doing it.
Corrupt Law mod changes Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay
Created by modder MrBK9, this mod turns the tables on the usual outlaw dynamic. Instead of dodging sheriffs, you’re now working with them kind of. The twist? It’s all completely corrupt. Frame any NPC you want and throw them behind bars, whether they mouthed off or just looked at you funny.
NPCs have always been a huge part of the Red Dead Redemption 2 world. Some offer side quests or services. Others just linger and get in your way. With this mod, they’re no longer a problem. You can remove them from your path and make a bit of cash on the side.
Jail locations depend on story progress
The mod supports multiple sheriff’s offices, but you’ll need to meet a few conditions first. Not every jail is available from the start:
- Valentine jail unlocks after the mission “Good, Honest, Snake Oil”
- Strawberry jail unlocks after “Blessed Are the Meek?”
- Blackwater and Tumbleweed jails become available only when playing as John Marston
This system keeps things grounded in the game’s progression, making the feature feel like a natural part of the world.
Red Dead Redemption 2 mod even lets you arrest innocent NPCs
One of the most chaotic and entertaining aspects of the mod is that guilt doesn’t matter. You can frame absolutely anyone. Whether they insulted you or just happened to be standing nearby, the law’s now yours to bend.
And yes, the game rewards you for it. Each arrest adds money to your pockets, making this not just petty revenge, but a viable side hustle.
Frame first, ask questions never
The Corrupt Law – Frame and Jail NPCs mod reshapes how you interact with Red Dead Redemption 2’s world. You’re still an outlaw, but now you’ve got a badge and no one’s safe. The rules don’t apply when you write them yourself.
